Christiana’s Campaign

May 29 to June 30, 2022 | Vancouver

I'm participating in the Anxiety Action Day campaign in honour of the hundreds of people with lived experience of hoarding, and their families and communities, who have touched my life through clinical work and scholarly inquiry. Globally, ~2% of the population suffers with hoarding, an anxiety-based disorder. Evidence-based clinical treatment, community interventions, and resource development are still in their infancy and, people who hoard are struggling mightily at this moment to live safely, healthfully, in wellness and positive relationships with family and friends. Thank you for joining me in raising funds for Anxiety Canada, so people who hoard and all those with anxiety disorders can live the life they want, free of stigma. >>> NOTE: PLEASE USE THE PURPLE BUTTON TO DONATE TO MY CAMPAIGN. Thank you!

I'm an Associate Professor at The University of British Columbia School of Social Work and Associate Director of The UBC Centre for Collaborative Research on Hoarding where I undertake cross-disciplinary study of hoarding with multi-sectoral community partners. During the pandemic winter of 2020, I was invited to join the Anxiety Canada Scientific Advisory Committee. I'm honoured to serve this organization in all its progressive good works and am joining this campaign for worldwide Anxiety Awareness Action Day-- June 10!
